Microsoft makes public its Refresh of Windows Vista Service Pack 1
Initially reserved for 15.000 beta testers, the recent refreshed version of Service Pack 1 RC reserved for Windows Vista is from now on available for the whole of the users.

Tuesday, Microsoft proposed for downloading Release Candidate of its Service Pack 1 bound for the operating system Windows Vista. Said refreshed, this auxiliary version took the step of the preceding version left in December 2007. Small surprise however, contrary to the latter it was reserved only for one restricted number testers (15 000 all the same) sorted on the shutter.
To obtain even more experience feedbacks, the world leader of the software has seems it changed opinion and proposes from now on with the whole of the users who wish it this RC Refresh.
Little information about the contents of this builds which makes it possible to correct a certain number of bugs met by the users in the preceding versions of tests. On the site of Microsoft, it is indicated that before proceeding to the installation, any version of the SP1 must be reinstalled as a preliminary. In addition, three updates are required and will be proposed if they are not present:
- KB935509: for Windows Vista Undertaken and Windows Vista Ultimate (which have Bitlocker functionalities)
- KB938371: update to correct bugs affecting certain components of which TrustedInstaller (precisely being used with the installation as updates) in order to improve the process of installation and reinstallation of Service Pack
- KB937287: update for the technology of Windows Vista being used with the installation as components (Servicing Stack)
Version RTM of the SP1 of Vista as for it is always planned for the first quarter 2008 following the example SP3 of Windows XP. Windows Vista Service Pack 1 RC Refresh Public Availability Program.
