By words of his creator Synthasite should represent a new concept of web content development. As a main feature on first place comes work inside web browser and independence from hardware or software platform, so availability and creating of web community comes on first place.
If you wish to try this web 2.0 application and to see all Synthasite possibilities you need to have user account on their website. To create on account it is very easy and fast. It is very useful to note that in the time when I was writing this article there was 2674 available spaces from 10000 so if you want to try it hurry. Maybe I should also note that Synthasite represent web application in test phase, so after they announce a full version all dates will be lost. Whole this concept represents a overview of new way to create a website. To start your work in Synthasite all you have to do is to click on button which is placed in middle of User page with cleat mark "Lunch Synthasite!"
Pop-up inside which is this entire concept placed looks like every usual program, with menus and other elements usual for most of software’s you use today. Window organization a little bit reminds on Firefox, with sidebars on the right side of your work space.

Running of new project starts with window inside which you need to insert a name and website description. That activates Site Explorer inside sidebar, which offers a possibility to close or remove existing website and also possibility to add additional web pages. This action also activates a new pop-up window inside which you also need to write website name and small description, but also to choose templates. Except of empty page you can use few additional themes which are definitely the best solution. After new page becomes visible inside new window, in sidebar new tools palate will open which enables you to add additional elements. Tools are separated by groups (Standard, Layout, Button/Badges, Media) and adding of additional elements can be done with drag and drop method. You can also change places of existing elements by double clicking on choose one. Number of tools/elements is not to large since this project is still in test phase, you can add text fields, images, DIV tags, Flickr search or even a YouTube videos.
Flexibility in element setup is on very low level - in example of DIV-s you can define only weight and height. To fix your text you can use WYSIWYG editor which you can in any moment replace with HTML mode, while I did tested this web 2.0 application I didn't find any option which enables me to fix entire page code. Working with tables is a little bit easier compared with empty page.

After you choose to preview your page, your page will open inside new window while option to export your existing work or to import another work from your computer does not exist. All material which you did use in page design will be saved on Synthasite servers and you can use it in any time for other pages.
With small number of options and functionalities I can't say that this project is unique and that he represents any kind of revolution, but from other side it gives you a possibility to create great web page and entire websites in WYSIWYG mod. If you love to design web page and also to explore new web 2.0 project I definitely recommend you to try Synthasite.
