Google Earth - Virtual 2D/3D World

Software developed by Google, allowing traversing the Earth by images satellite, in 2D or 3D. It is also possible to carry out research (restaurants, hotels, etc. and to consult road routes.
Initially developed by the Keyhole company (from now on repurchased by Google), Google Earth is a free software (in its initial version) suggested by Google. Google Earth makes it possible the user to see imports it which place of the sphere as the satellites do it. The resolution is not identical everywhere, but the strategic places (large cities) often are very well covered, to such a degree that one easily distinguishes the cars in the streets.
To use it, it is enough to type a place name (by specifying the country sometimes) to go there. The software downloads in real time all information since Internet: images satellite, names of the streets, the roads, the cities, situation of the hotels, restaurants, etc In addition to the traditional sight of-top, it is possible to incline the angle of sight and to see the landscape in relief then. The height of sight (altitude) is also adjustable. Of course, it is possible to make swivel the chart.
The user can record places in memory by associating comments there. Google Earth also proposes routes to go of an unspecified point of the sphere to another.
The software exists in several versions:
- Free version of Google Earth
- Google Earth Plus costs 20$ per annum; it integrates the support of apparatuses GPS, the importation of data in the form of sheets of spreadsheet, of and better the function drawing tools of impression
- Google Earth Pro costs 400$ per annum; intended for the professionals for a regular commercial practice, it includes/understands the improvements of Google Earth Plus as well as calculation of surfaces and other options (generator of videos, top-of-the-range impression, importation of data GI, etc)
- Google Earth Enterprise is a whole of solutions for the companies, which make it possible to deploy commercial solutions in mode ASP or lodged mode (it is of Google Earth Fusion and Google Earth Server).
