Reducing the noise of your DVD player

When you play a CD or DVD, you find that your player is excessively noisy? A tool called Nero DriveSpeed which is part of the Nero suite; you can make your reader silent reducing its speed.

1. Start Nero DriveSpeed by clicking on Start, All Programs, Nero 7, then click on Tools Nero DriveSpeed.

2. In the window that opens, click Silent

3. Playback speed is reduced (it is more than enough to play movies, listen to music).

4. Then click on the Options button. Tick the boxes then Lancer at startup, Start reduced in size. Finally, click OK. The software will then automatically launch at startup and settings that you have set will be applied.

5. To increase the speed of reading (but lose in silence), simply click the Quick.

6. Finally, click on the Close button
