One knew already FireTune which made it possible to improve the performances of Mozilla Firefox by various optimizations of the files of configuration of the navigator. FasterFox proposes about the same thing but has the advantage of being better integrated and more personnalisable.
Contrary to Firetune, FasterFox is not software independent but an extension of the browser who adds an icon inside Options menu. The interface gives you the choice between several more or less predefined adjustments. If the heart of said to you, you can also personalize these adjustments and reach advanced options (pipelining, preloading of the static pages, and maximum number of connections…). Attention however, certain options can have parasitic side effects as you to disconnect in an inopportune way of the sites where you have an account (by automatically preloading the bond of disconnection of the forum or the site concerned).
Lastly, appreciable small detail, FasterFox post the time of loading of the page in bottom on the right of the window, useful to test the effectiveness of your optimizations.
Installation: When you install a Firefox extension for the first time since a site, the Mozilla web browser posts a warning in top of the window. To allow Firefox to install the extension, click on “Modify Options”. In the dialogue box, click on “authorizing” then “OK”.
