+ It doesn’t take too much of your RAM memory when it works in background, it can defragment less than 10% of your hard drive space without any problems. It can scan your computer faster than Windows Disk Defragmenter.
- Some none experienced users want like the interface because there is so much buttons and options which will make you to replace Diskeeper with another software. Even reports are full with number of useful info. again none experienced users want understand most of them. I were not able to scan hard drive with 1TB. |

When you save a file, the file takes place in open space on your hard drive. But maybe that "pieces" of the same file can be distributed to various locations. Using windows defrag you can remove those duplicate file and same your hard drive space and life time. As a result, access to your documents could be achieved faster.
Windows offers a system defrag by default but particularly slow, especially if you have a hard drive with high capacity. With Diskeeper, your defragmentation can reach a speed of 300% and 500% higher than a conventional defragmenter. You will be able to defragment your PC so amazing! For those who use Windows Vista Operating System we have great news because Diskeeper 2008 is also fully compatible with Windows Vista.
The interface is as easy to use as ever and the intuitive icons and structured display of options and features assure fast configuration for home users. The docking windows of the menu are located on the left side of the application window, in the Quick Launch side bar.
With a new engine defragmentation called I / O SMART, this utility can defragment while you save a file. In earlier versions, no action could be made on your hard drive when you run a defragmentation. Among other qualities, this program uses little system resources, you can launch a task funds without problem and continue working.
The software has a few other tricks up its sleeve. I-FAAST (Intelligent File Access Acceleration Sequencing Technology) continuously monitors your files to determine which are requested most often. It then sequences the files on the drive so you can access them more quickly.
Boot-Time defragmentation feature will assure the movement of the files that cannot be safely moved while Windows is running. It can be set to take place at the next boot of the computer or based on a scheduled reboot of the machine. A series of options come to complement the feature, like enabling "CHKDSK" utility to run before defragmentation thus ensuring that the files will not be moved in bad sectors.
The ability to automatically program your defragmentations is also very valuable. Another advantage of Diskeeper is the ability to view the tasks currently using a graph. You will be able to observe the speed before and after the process and prevent the risk of crash or bug your PC. Easy to use and equipped with an intuitive interface, Diskeeper will make a PC as new!
