By defect, Outlook sending the messages on standby and recovers the new messages every 15 minutes. But you can personalize this interval by reducing it for example to 5 minutes more frequently to check if you have new messages.

In Outlook click on Tools then click on Options. Inside new window which show up click on Mail Setup tab, then click on Send/Receive button

Now in bottom of new opened window you can “Schedule an automatic send/receive every”, all you have to do here is to decrease this time to 5 minutes or less if you wish.

After you finish click Close and in next window click OK button.
