How to defend yourself on work from curious colleges?

Date: April 21, 2007

We did receive one question from our visitor ( Pablo ), he asked:

"Company in which I work is small, we have about 20 computers connected together in LAN network with router which exit on internet ( we don't have system-administrator). My PC is one of those 20 computers. He needs to be turned on hole time while I am not at work. Problem is that my colleges more often use my computer and they should not.

My Questions is: Is there any software which will after I logon into Windows lock my PC, but he needs to be visible in network so other workers can copy files from him. I did tried to "fix this problem" with screensaver password but because I use screensaver much more often I need another solution. Thanks very much."

Our answer: There is a lot of software which can fix your problems. Chris PC-Lock ( http://www.chris-pc.com/pclock/index.html ) is not free software but it really can help you to solve your problem. If you are looking for free solution you could try Quick ShutDown ( http://www.winutility.com/qsd/ ), and also try this one WinGuarde Pro. 2007 Free Edition ( http://www.winguardpro.com ). Hope these links will also help to other visitors and it's the reason why we publish this post.
