If you think that once you emptied windows basket, the files which were inside are definitively removed from your hard drive, you are wrong. Only the links towards these files which are stored inside FAT or NTFS tables on your hard drive are removed.
Many programs make it possible to successfully recover removed documents. Brilliant if it is about an accidental suppression but what are you wish to remove sensitive documents definitively, without any possibility of recovery, even by professionals? The free software Eraser File Shredder takes care of that.
1. After having downloaded Eraser Slips by Shredder, install it.
2. Once that is done, you can then definitively remove your sensitive documents starting from the Windows Explorer. For that, select the files (or file) to remove, and then click on the selection with the right button of the mouse. Choose the Erase order then.
3. Then confirm the final suppression while clicking on the Yes button.
4. The program then carries out 35 writings over your data to remove them completely. This stage can take a few seconds.
5. A report of suppression is posted then. Click on the Ok button to close it. Your removed data are then irremediable.
