Mozilla PRISM available under Linux and Mac OS X

Recently revealed with the public in a version Windows, the platform Mozilla PRISM bringing to the Net surfers their applications on line on the desk, is from now on available under Linux and Mac OS X.

At the end of October, the virtual laboratory of Mozilla Labs left its paperboards or rather revealed with the general public a first version of Mozilla PRISM. This project with the enigmatic name takes the continuation of WebRunner with for ambition bringing the applications on line preferred of the users on a plate, their desk in fact, to some extent transforming them into “standards applications”.

A free cousin of Silverlight and AIR

Based on the famous navigator Mozilla Firefox, PRISM supports de facto technologies Internet rich person like HTML, JavaScript, CSS and canvas. From a practical point of view, PRISM is compared to a navigator specific to a particular site, Firefox without the buttons before-back, the bar of URL and the mark-pages.
