DivX 6.7: finally the true official support of Vista
The final version 6.7 of the codec DivX is finally available for downloading. It will interest especially those which encoding videos since one of the principal innovations, as we announce it in this topicality devoted to the version beta, is the support of profiles 1080HD.
Among the innovations, one will note inter alia:
- Official compatibility with Vista (it was more than time!)
- A better compression for the videos in 1080i
- An experimental support of instructions SSE4
- Support of new ratios for the HDV, DVCPRO HD and AVCHD
At all events, the support of Windows Vista is a good thing, especially after so much of delay, and the users should not have plantings of the Explorer process any more, especially during the posting of the videos in the form of labels. It remains with the editor to finally propose a version of its codec compatible with the versions 64 bits of Windows, because video compression is one of the fields which would draw clearly favors of such a technology. If you wish to download it you can do it by visiting next link.
Let us add all the same that DivX Player decontaminates still and always Aero. But it is not serious after all, that makes only eight month that Vista is available, it is undoubtedly not enough. Amusing when it is thought that readers like Media Player Classic or even Windows Media Player can read DivX without Aero being affected.
