Using Word’s Style area feature

Aug 10, 2006 6:37 PM

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You can have Word XP display what type of formatting you have for every line of text. This feature will also let you change that formatting directly from the document. To turn Word’s Style area feature on, you simply:

  1. In Word XP, from the Tools menu click Options.
  2. Click the View tab.
  3. From the Windows section, click the up arrow under Style area width until you have a setting that you want. (We recommend having at least a 1² style area.)
