Through a small patch KB906569, Microsoft makes it possible for users of its Windows XP operating system equipped with Service Pack 2, to improve Msconfig, the configuration utility system. The update adds a tab with a drop-down menu with shortcuts pointing to several tools.

After downloading the patch from the official website of Microsoft (certified copy of Windows valid mandatory), double-click the file returned to start the installation and be guided.

Then lunch the system configuration tool. A new tab called "Tools" made its appearance. It gives access to several useful tools and services as the centre of security, the Task Manager, Add / Remove programs, command prompt MS DOS, or network diagnostic options Internet browser Internet Explorer. To run some of these new features, simply select it and click the "Run".
