Add file or directory icon in Start Menu

By: Staff
Date: November 2, 2006

The easiest way in Windows XP is to go in C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Start Menu where <user name> is your user name. In this place you can do what ever you want and you can also add new file icons or directory icons on easiest way. You can also do this in other Windows OS.

For other Windows OS you need to find directory Start Menu which is usually on C: disk. When you found him open him and setup icons which you want.

Second way is:

  1. Make icon shortcut on your desktop,
  2. Press on her with right mouse click and move her on Start Menu, wait one second that Start Menu opens,
  3. Find place where you want to move this icon in Start Menu and let go right mouse click,
  4. Choose option Move Here so icons move on that place or Copy here to make a copy of that icon on place which you did choose
